  28th Annual MGIA Gang Conference

The Nebraska Chapter of the Midwest Gang Investigators Association is proud to present the 28th Annual MGIA Gang Conference on May 17-20, 2015, at the Doubletree Hotel, Omaha, NE. This gang conference is open to line officers, investigators, supervisors, law enforcement administrators, prosecu-tors, and probation/parole officers. The topics of instruction will provide law enforcement professionals with an excellent perspective of gangs on the street, and how law enforcement can better prepare their criminal gang cases for prosecution. It will also address how gangs impact our communities while they are out on supervision with probation or parole. PROGRAM (Notice all Conference Attendees must wear their Conference ID’s at all time) TENATIVE TOPICS INCLUDE: (Topics subject to change:) California Surenos– Their impact on street gangs California Surenos/Mexican Mafia– Their role in the Prison System Patron Saints of the Mexican Cartels– What do they mean? Street Gangs and Social Media Sovereign Citizen Update– White Sovereigns/Moorish Science Temple Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Update Chicago Folk and People Gangs Update Street Gangs and Terrorism– Is it the same play-ground?   Gang Tattoos: Identification and Documentation

Date: [11/13/2014] - Location: Kenosha Public Museum 5500 1st Street Kenosha, WI 53140
Topics will include: The importance of gang tattoos and tattoo identification of various street gangs, how to identify gang members by their tattoos, how and when tattoos are obtained and the specific meaning of tattoos, the importance of documentation and networking among law enforcement officers, courtroom testimony when dealing with gang tattoos, gang literature, symbols and by-laws / constitutions of street gangs.
