MISSION
The
Midwest Gang Investigators Association remains focused on
the goals, the mission, and the vision our organization was
founded on in 1987.
MGIA MISSION STATEMENT
The Midwest Gang Investigators Association exists as a non-profit
educational organization with its focus on combating criminal
street gangs through:
- Training law enforcement, parents, teachers, etc.)
- Providing information and guidance to parent, teachers,
students, etc.
- Facilitate networking among law enforcement
- Supporting new techniques for identification and apprehension
of gang members involved in criminal activity
- Supporting legislation related to the reduction of gang-related
crimes and youth violence
- Use of technology for the purpose of providing our services
to law enforcement and our communities
MGIA VISION STATEMENT
The vision of the Midwest Gang Investigators Association is to
be recognized as a leader in the field of combating criminal
street gangs. We will reach and maintain our vision by working
together with law enforcement agencies, community groups, and
other respected gang associations in the United States. We will
show our leadership by providing online resources, training seminars
for both law enforcement and non law enforcement, and using available
technology for the purpose of serving our members and the communities
our members serve. |
